Zhang Yuyan is the Director of the Institute of World Economics and Politics at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, where he serves as a senior researcher and doctoral supervisor. He holds a bachelor's degree in economics from Peking University, and a doctorate in economics from the Department of World Economics and Politics at the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Professor Zhang has long been engaged in the research fields of international political economy and institutional economics. He is the President of the China Society of World Economics and the President of the China Society of Emerging Economies. Additionally, Professor Zhang holds prestigious memberships of the Foreign Policy Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Economic and Trade Policy Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Commerce, along with the China Public Diplomacy Association.
